[TAGGED POSTING] 3 favorite Hadiths

In the Name of Allah, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful

I was also tagged by my sister, Maryam, in this post.  The task is to find 3 hadiths that I would like to see in the mosques around me and why.  I have also include the source link of the hadiths.  Here they are:

1

Translation of Sahih Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 71, Number 582:

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet said, "There is no disease that Allah has created, except that He also has created its treatment."

2

Translation of Sahih Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 65, Number 286:

Narrated Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari:

The Prophet said, "Give food to the hungry, pay a visit to the sick and release (set free) the one in captivity (by paying his ransom)."

3

On the authority of Abu Hurairah that the Prophet said:

p "Whosoever removes a worldly grief from a believer, Allah will remove from him one of the griefs of the Day of Judgment. Whosoever alleviates [the lot of] a needy person, Allah will alleviate [his lot] in this world and the next. Whosoever shields a Muslim, Allah will shield him in this world and the next. Allah will aid a servant [of His] so long as the servant aids his brother. Whosoever follows a path to seek knowledge therein, Allah will make easy for him a path to Paradise. No people gather together in one of the houses of Allah, reciting the Book of Allah and studying it among themselves, without tranquility descending upon them, mercy enveloping them, the angels surrounding them, and Allah making mention of them amongst those who are with Him. Whosoever is slowed down by his actions will not be hastened forward by his lineage."

p related by Muslim in these words.

The reason of choosing those 3 hadits is because of a village near Jakarta, the capital of Republic of Indoesia, called Jagabita.  Jagabita is located in Parung Panjang district, in the border between Tangerang and Bogor (Jakarta's suburb areas).  I have visited the village twice, first time with friends for Multiply Indonesia (the community of Multiply users in Indonesia) and for the second time with some friends for Relawan Pelangi (the Rainbow Volunteers).

People in the village are living in an extreme poverty anda in very poor health condition.  There are many kind of diseases such as Elephanthis, cancer, tumor, respiratory problems, malnutrition, etc.

The condition of sanitation is very bad, they almost have no clean running water, especially in dry season.  They have to take a bath in a river which has very dirty water together with buffalos.

To reach Puskesmas or Pusat kesehatan masyarakat (People's health center) they have to rent motorcycles which is too expensive for them.  It seems the authorities never give enough attention the the people of Jagabita and it's surrounding villages in Parung Panjang district.

Therefore, the village is know as Kampung Pesakitan or Village of the sick

Actually, there is no reason of those villages to be in very poor conditions.  They are located near highly developed Jakarta's satelite cities in Tangerang Area such as Bumi Serpong Damai or Bintaro Jaya

Jagabita village and it's surrounding villages are the ultimate proof of the failure of capitalism.

Hopefully, the Rainbow Volunteers and other communities will be able to help and support the people of those villages to rise from their poverty.
